Abstract
The polycrystalline samples of (Na0.5 Bi0.5)1-xNdxTi(1-x/4)O3 with x=0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06 were prepared by high temperature solid state reaction technique. The formations of the compounds were confirmed by X-Ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. A systematic change in crystal structure from rhombohedral to tetragonal to cubic on Nd substitution was observed. The crystallite size and strain in the samples were calculated using Williamson Hall method. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis confirms the formation of perovskite structure. The polymer ceramic composites were prepared using polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) as polymer matrix and Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBT) as ceramics powder by cold pressing technique. The microstructure/surface morphology of the ceramic oxide samples and composite was analyzed by scanning electron microscope.
