Abstract
Ferrocene based chalcones [(η5-C5H4)2Fe ] were prepared from the reaction of 1,1’- Diacetylferrocene with Benzaldehyde. The ferrocenyl pyrazolines are synthesized from the reaction of [(η5-C5H4)2Fe
] and Hydrazine Hydrate and Phenyl Hydrazine . Characterization of these organometallic compounds was carried out using FTIR and 1HNMR. The results indicate that these compounds are successfully formed and can be explored in future research work especially as biologically active agents and molecular sensors .
