Abstract

Solid state & Auto combustion processing techniques were used to synthesize Ni(1-x)CoxFe2O4 where x = 0 to 0.5. In the solid state route, the powders were calcined at 1000ᵒC for 2hrs, XRD analysis conducted & then each sample sintered at a temperature of 1200ᵒC & used for magnetic characterization. In the auto combustion synthesis again, the powders were calcined at 1000ᵒC and then sintered at 1200ᵒC , XRD analysis of the calcined powder & magnetic characterization of the pellets were carried out. Suitable phases were obtained & the magnetic characterizations were analysed & conclusions were drawn from the available data.
