Abstract
In this paper pure YBCO is synthesized by solid state reaction method and measurement of resistivity versus temperature are taken by four probe method. YBCO is a high temperature superconducting material having transition above the liquid nitrogen temperature. SnO2 was added to YBCO to form a composite in order to increase its current density and observe the changes in its properties. Microstructural analysis is performed using SEM, and phase confirmation of YBCO composite is done using X-Ray Diffraction method.DC electrical transport properties provide some understanding of the mechanism of this material. Now a days, research is going on to find mechanism of high temperature superconductivity as BCS theory is silent about this
