Abstract
Hydrazones, –NH–N=CRR' (R and R`= H, alkyl, aryl), play a very important role in the field of analytical and medicinal chemistry. Metal complexes of aroylhydrazones are one of the hot topics in research due to their varied biological applications. The proposal is aimed to design some novel azo- aroylhydrazone ligands and their corresponding oxidomolybdenum(VI) complexes. The ligands and their metal complexes have been characterized by IR, and UV-VIS spectroscopy. X-ray structure of complex 1 is solved using single crystal X-ray crystallography.
