Abstract
Health monitoring on regular basis is important nowadays, but it's not possible to go to hospital for regular check-ups due to our busy life. With a portable BP device which automatically calculates the blood pressure, mean arterial pressure and heart rate, a patient can monitor his/her BP and heart rate himself/herself at home, office or anywhere. If the readings are not normal, the readings can be sent to the hospital or doctor using GSM module. And the patient can be diagnosed if required. This project also intends to help the people of the remote location where medical facilities are not available. The blood pressure is measured with the help of pressure transducer, pump, valve and an inflatable cuff. It follows oscillometric technique. The GSM SIM800 module is used for transmission.
