Abstract

Based upon various observation and recent advancement the research topic name is decided “Dynamic Modelling of Process in Coal Based Thermal Power Plant”. The main concern of the thesis is:-
a) Smart intelligence for real plant as training simulator.
b) Establishment and locations of measuring instruments. (Instrumentation lay out in TPS)
c) Different methods of controlling involved for processes.
d) Case study related to C&I
e) Role of Instruments for environmental.
f) Monitoring and evaluation of acquired data from different location in process.
g) Study of Energy Conservation through permanent or temporary modification in control and instrument.
h) Energy Optimization through Process Modification.
i) Energy savings through better Operational & Maintenance Practices.
j) Other real time problem and case studies.
Literature Survey: A literature survey is started to see the recent development that has been made for the above mentioned topic till date. Undergoing One year project work in 135/250/600 MW Simulators at Jindal Institute of Power Technology (JIPT) and M/s. OP Jindal Super Thermal Power Limited, Tamnar, Chhattisgarh.
Tools Used: MATLAB (ANN/Fuzzy Logic/Genetic Algorithm), Unisim (Honeywell), Max DNA (BHEL), Ovation Simulation Tool (Emerson), System Applications & Products in Data Processing (SAP), Energy Management System (EMS) or other various monitoring and optimization tools.
MATLAB (matrix laboratory) provides a numerical environment and fourth generation programming language. It provides matrix manipulation, plotting of function, data and implementation of algorithms. It provides a different tool box and Simulink models for process control and design.
Next a brief study on Power generation is provided and a mathematical model is also discussed. The design rule and control strategy of Power generation are discussed
