Abstract
In this study, static and buckling behavior of sandwich plate with orthotropic core has been presented. The present model is developed based on first order shear deformation theory and discretised using a finite element method in ANSYS environment to obtain the responses. The convergence test has been carried out and the results are compared with those available open literature. We note substantial effect of different parameters such as, support conditions, number of layers and thickness ratio on static and stability behavior of laminated structures.
