Many Indian cities are facing travel problems due to inadequate transport infrastructure, imbalance in modal split and lack of integration between land use and transportation planning. Enabling the establishment of quality focused multimodal public transport system, provides seamless travel across the modes. To facilitate multimodality we need to integrate different modes of transport. This study mainly aims for a framework of an integrated multimodal transport in urban area. Modeling of integrated Transport in a city mainly constitutes of a Routing Model and Scheduling Model. In Routing model, a heuristic algorithm is used for feeder route generation known as „Srivastava-Dhingra heuristic feeder route generation algorithm‟(HFGRA) which gives maximum demand guided routes with acceptable delay. The scheduling model is formulated as the minimization of sum of operating cost of buses and total waiting time cost and travel time cost of passengers who have preference to use the integrated system gives a better result compared to the existing system. Based on the stated preference survey, about 68.5% of people are willing to use the new system. A potential demand including the preference of new system and the existing demand to the bus services are used in this model. The impact of integration is measured based on the performance parameters such as ride share, Earnings per Kilometer and load factor.
