Abstract
Construction industry is one of the most hazardous industries in the world. The fatality rate in this activity is five times more than the manufacturing industry. Current statistics on the fatal accidents which caused by construction projects necessitates preliminary studies and precautionary actions to resolve the problem. It is known that number of unsafe conditions and unsafe acts results into fatalities. Therefore, it is necessary that such conditions and acts be eliminated to maximum possible extent as soon as possible. This study presents different unsafe conditions and acts found on the worksite and suggestions to mitigate them. It was found that almost all such acts and conditions could be eliminated permanently hence reducing likelihood for fatal occurrence. This report extends a risk assessment for activities pertaining to road safety before starting construction and during construction work.
