Abstract

The aim of the experiment is to measure the flow characteristics of the synthetic slag. A synthetic slag is prepared using pure oxides of CaO, MgO, SiO2 and Al2O3 .The chemical composition of slags taken for flow characteristics contains Al2O3 25-30% C/S ratio 1-1.2 %,MgO 6-10%.The influence of Al2O3,MgO,C/S ratio on flow characteristics is studied. It is observed that 6%, MgO, 28.75% Al2O3 and C/S ratio of 1.2 gives the shortest slag.
