Abstract

Several anode materials are being used for SOFC Anode application. T-he La doped SrTiO3 has attracting increasing attentions as a promising SOFC anode candidate. To recommend andoptimize the La-doped SrTiO3 as a potential anode material for Intermediate-SOFC operating temperature (500oC to 800oC), studies of electrical conductivity, thermal expansion behaviour and measurement of mechanical parameters needed. The aforementioned parameters and synthesis of LST-based anode and its characterization is Discussed in the present work. La0.3Sr0.7TiO3 specimens were prepared via Solid State route. Approach to decrease the impurities are presented when solid state reaction method used. Fracture strength of 129MPa and Conductivity of 5x10-4 S/cm was observed when raw powders compact of La0.3Sr0.7TiO3 sintered at 1350oC for 4 hours. Thermal expansion behaviour from room temperature to 850oC is presented.
